If we had any doubts, consider them quelled—Will Smith knows how to make an entrance.
The Oscar nominee made his return to The Tonight Show Thursday night to chat about his upcoming role in Suicide Squad, but before he could even sit down, the show had already begun.
Ever the comedian, the actor insisted that the standard arrival guests make onto the sound stage wasn't enough for Jimmy Fallon's audience, so he tried it again—only this time, while rolling in a human hamster ball. Despite the raucous applause, it didn't reach the star's standards.
"I just think they deserve a little more than that," Smith told Fallon of the audience. "I was your first guest ever on this show, man. I gotta give it to 'em."So, Smith gave everyone a little boogie. The lights dimmed, the music blasted and Smith's bevy of disco dancers got into formation for a '70s themed bonanza.
The pièce de résistance was Smith, of course, who performed a personal groove before taking a seat once again.
Though we were sure he had exhausted all efforts, the actor had one more entrance up his sleeve—and it was grand with a capital G. First, a choir arrived to make the official announcement that Smith had arrived. Next, he rode onto the stage atop a unicorn. After walking the freshly laid red carpet, confetti poured out from the ceiling.
It was the perfect reminder to book your unicorn for Saturday night.
Jaden Smith is the big 18 today!
The son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has officially reached adulthood, which is totally weird considering we've watched him grow up in the spotlight...and yes, it's definitely make us feel a little old, too.
But let's not be selfish here. In honor of Jaden's special day, his parents and his little sister Willow have shared some sweet messages on social media, which of course came with a couple adorable throwbacks.
For example, Will posted the pic above of Jaden as a baby on Facebook. But the photo aside, his caption is what had us smiling. "Happy Bday, Jaden!" He wrote, "You're 18 years old today. And I'm still tryna figure out what the hell I'm doing. : -)"Jada also shared a throwback photo of Jaden looking oh-so-chubby and oh-so-cute!
"Jaden," she began the Facebook post. "You are the prince of my heart. I have no doubt that you were born to me to show me how deeply I can love. You are one of the brightest lights of my life. You are my son, my friend, a walking embodiment of my soul, my treasure.
She concluded, "Happy Birthday Mr.18:)))) Ma"Willow shared a more recent photo of her brother, hanging out with him on a merry-go-round and snapping a selfie.
" BROO," she captioned the pic. "I luv youu 2 infinity."
